Be Careful Of Diablo 3 Phishing Scams

Diablo 3 is in the Beta stage of testing.  Many of us are awaiting the chance to find a Diablo 3 Beta invite waiting for us in our email.  Scammers know this and will try to steal your Battle.net account information.  Here is an example of a Diablo 3 phishing email I found in my inbox today.

We’re gearing up for the forthcoming launch of Diablo III and would like to extend you an invitation to participate in the beta test. If you are interested in participating, you need to have a Battle.net account, which you can create on our Battle.net website.

We will flag you for access to the Diablo III beta test when we begin admitting press. You do not need to go through the opt-in process.

To secure your place among the first of Sanctuary’s heroes,Please use the following template below to verify your account and information via email.

* Password:
* Country:
* E-mail Address:

Obviously anything asking for your account name or password is a phishing attempt designed to steal your account information.  While there is nothing to steal from your Diablo account, which doesn't exist yet, gaining access to your Battle.net information now would be useful down the road once Diablo 3 releases.  Another thing to remember is that stealing your Battle.net account information gives access to all of the Blizzard games you have signed up for.

Which Class Do You Predict Will Be The Best Gold And Item Farming Class In Diablo 3?

If you plan on becoming a gold and item farmer in Diablo 3, then character creation and artisan customization are going to be important choices for you to make.  It all starts with which Diablo 3 character class you select for your main item and gold farming character.  I am not in the Diablo 3 Beta yet, so I have no first hand experience to go off of yet.  Some things that will become important factors to weigh against when determining your best Diablo 3 item and gold farming character class are:

• Your Playstyle
• Character Survivability
• Character Resource Regeneration / Downtime
• Speed Of Killing / Damage Per Second (DPS)
• Area Of Effect Damage Vs. Single Target Damage Abilities
• Maximum Available Magic Find Ability (Magic Find Improves Your Loot Table)
• Solo Or Team Farmer?

The best item and gold farming Diablo 3 character class for you may be completely different than the best option for another Diablo 3 player.  The best class for you will weigh all of the above factors for your own playstyle to create the uber farming character that we are all going to be seeking.
